ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES – PRE MEDICAL TEST (AIIMS-PMT)
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) conducts the AIIMS-PMT for admission to MBBS programme.
ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION
He/She should have passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/ Senior qualification School Certificate Examination or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent examination of a recognised University/Board of any Indian State with ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY. He /She should have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in the case of General & OBC and 50% in case of SC/ST candidates in aggregate in ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY.
Note : All those candidates who have appeared or are appearing at the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subject and expect to pass the examination with required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply and appear in the Competitive Entrance Examination.
RESERVATIONS
For AIIMS – New Delhi
72 (seventy two) seats for Indian Nationals and 1 (one) seat for Foreign National are available for admission to MBBS course. Out of the 72 seats, 11 – for Scheduled Castes (SC), 05 – for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 19 – for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 37 – for General Category (GC) For Indian Nationals, 3% reservation for orthopedic physically handicapped shall be provided on horizontal basis, in the seats available.
For Six AIIMS like Institutions
From August 2013, Six New AIIMS like Institutions (viz: Bhopal, Patna, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Raipur and Bhubaneswar) have started with an intake of 100 students each. The reservation policy followed will be 7.5% ST, 15% SC and 27% OBC. For Indian Nationals, 3% reservation for Orthopedic physically handicapped shall be provided on horizontal basis, in the seats available.
ALL INDIA PRE-MEDICAL / PRE-DENTAL TEST (AIPM / PDT)
ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION (FOR 15% ALL INDIA QUOTA SEATS)
He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.
RESERVATIONS OF SEATS IN GOVT. MEDICAL COLLEGES UNDER 15% ALL INDIA QUOTA
- 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates.
- 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates.
- 27% seats are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Educational Institutions only.
- 3% seats are reserved on horizontal basis for Physically Handicapped candidates.
ARMED FORCES MEDICAL COLLEGE, PUNE (AFMC, PUNE)
MBBS admission to AFMC will be based on All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT). Students must also apply separately to AFMC online in the month of March / April every year.
ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION
Candidates must have passed The Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination in Science of a statutory Indian University/board or other recognized examination body in the first attempt with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these three science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the tenth standard.
RESERVATIONS
Ten seats out of 130 are reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled castes/scheduled tribes.In addition to the above 130 seats, Govt of India at its discretion through Ministry of External Affairs & Ministry of Defence may sponsor and select foreign students from friendly foreign countries for MBBS training in AFMC, under their aid/ collaboration.
CHRISTIAN MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL, VELLORE (CMC, VELLORE)
ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION
A candidate for admission to medical course in CMC ,Vellore must have
- completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or should complete the said age on or before 31st December of the said year.
- 60% marks at +2 level in each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology taken together)and have an aggregate of 140/200 in these subjects, both at qualifying and competitive examinations and should have passed in English(as per state & University guidelines)
- 60% in each and 130/200 aggregate for BC
- 55% in each and 120/200 aggregate for MBC
- 40% in each and 80/200 aggregate for SC/ST candidates.
RESERVATIONS
Out of 100 seats, 84 are reserved for university sponsored candidates,1 for Central Pool Quota, Govt of India, 3 for SC/ST candidates.

- Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
- Foreign nationals are not required to appear in the entrance examination for MBBS Course. They may seek admission through respective Ministries of Govt. of India, New Delhi, as per the rules laid down for the purpose.

ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION
- Candidate must have taken the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination in the subjects of Physics, English, Chemistry and Biology.
- Every candidate must have a minimum aggregate of 50% in the above mentioned subject combination.
- Candidate must not be younger than 17 years by the 31st of December that year.
- Every candidate has to secure at least 50% marks in the entrance test to be eligible for selection process.
